Jonathan Drake,
Managing Director

Jonathan Drake is CEO of the group’s holding company Three River Studios and has 25 years experience in television business. 

Formerly Managing Director of Impossible Pictures and 360 Productions he was responsible for bringing together funding for many blue-chip factual shows such as Prehistoric Park (ITV, Pro7, M6, Animal Planet), Perfect Disasters (Discovery Channel, M6, Pro7, Five), World War II: The Last Heroes (C4, History Canada, Yesterday), Great Martian War (History Canada, History UK, eOne) and Mummies Alive (History Canada, Smithsonian, UKTV, ZDF).

As well as drama series such as Primeval (ITV, UKTV, Pro7), Primeval New World (Space, Pro7, Watch) and Sinbad (Sky1).

Steve Maher,
Creative Director

Steve has worked in the animation and television industry as Art Director, Producer and Director for over two decades. He has been involved in an array of projects from multi award-winning children’s series, on blockbuster exhibitions for the V&A, in development for the QI company, as the creator of numerous animated Doctor Who projects. 

As Creative Director at Impossible Pictures and Impossible Factual, Steve has created and produced series such as: The First (History US), Great Martian War (History Canada, History UK, eOne) and Mummies Alive (History Canada, Smithsonian, UKTV, ZDF). Steve has an unrivalled background in visual effects design and animation and works between Manchester and the London office.

 

Sarah Jones,
Head of Production

As Head of Production Sarah Jones has recently overseen Mummies Alive, Hive Alive and WWII’s Greatest Raids.

Prior to joining Impossible Factual, Sarah production managed for more than 10 years across a number of genres from single documentaries and series such as WW1: The First Modern War, The Great Martian War, Human Swarm, RAF at 90, and World Cup A&E to live and as-live studio-based series like Let’s Do Lunch with Gino & Mel, Daily Cooks Challenge and Smile.
